Split Training And Foreign Language Pay?

Filed in Category Language Training

I am shipping off to army BCT soon, but I am in the split-training program. I enlisted in the army reserve and I go to my unit and get paid every month. To qualify for foreign language pay would I have to take the test after AIT (in another year) or would I be able to take the test after BCT?

You could even take the DLPT – Defense Language Proficiency Test, before BCT as long as you are drilling. Otherwise, you might be able to have your recruiter schedule a time to take the test on a military base.
